Millet Porridge with Sour Cherries

Serves 1

1/3 cup millet

¾ cup water

½ cup soy/almond/rice milk

1 tbsp Morlife dried sour cherries

¼ tsp ground cinnamon

1/8 tsp ground nutmeg

1 tbsp seeds, Morlife chia seeds, sesame seesds or sunflower seeds

Add all ingredients except seeds to a small saucepan.

Bring to the boil then reduce the heat low, cover with lid and allow to simmer for 25 minutes.

Do not stir during this period.

If there is still a small amount of liquid, allow to cook for a further couple of minutes.

Remove from heat then serve.

Sprinkle with seeds. Can add a small amount of extra milk upon serving if the chia seeds absorb too much moisture.

Note: You can prepare the porridge the night before and allow it soak overnight, it can cook a little faster this way.
