Bump up the fibre and protein in your diet with Golden berries, the tastiest Amazonian superfruit

Goldenberries (aka Inca berries or Goose berries) are native to South America, particularly the Amazon. They are fast becoming a notable super fruit and valuable addition to our diets due to their wide range of beneficial nutrients.

Golden berries are an excellent source of fibre and pectin, they actually contain nearly 25% fibre,  this is much higher than most other berries and dried fruits. They also contain higher levels of protein compared to other berries. So due to these high levels of protein and fibre these tart tasting little berries are much lower in sugar compared to many dried fruits, making them a healthier dried fruit snack.

Their unique tart yet slightly sweet taste lends itself well to a wide variety of different uses , including:

-          Straight out the bag as a snack

-          Sprinkle over cereal or porridge

-          Add to yoghurt

-          Tossed through salad

-          Add to trail mix

-          Mix into baking – bread, muffins, slices etc

-          Use to make jam

Now try this declicious raw dessert with the exotic golden berries, it is simply divine!
