Get Creative with Chlorella

Mixing your daily dose of Chlorella into a juice or smoothie is a bit of a “no brainer”, and a great way to include your Chlorella in your diet, but here are some more creative ways to have your nutrient hit throughout the day.


Guilt-free Guacamole

guacamole2 Ripe avocados

2 tsp. of Morlife Certified Organic Chlorella Powder

1 Clove of fresh garlic, minced

½ lime, juiced

A handful of coriander, roughly chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ red onion, diced

1 tomato, diced

1 ½ tsp. jalapenos, diced

  1. Cut the avocado in half, and remove the seed.
  2. Scoop out the avocado flesh and place it in a bowl.
  3. Lightly mash the avocado with a fork.
  4. Add the Chlorella Powder, garlic, lime juice, coriander, salt and pepper to the bowl and stir until combined.
  5. Add the onion, tomato and jalapenos and mix.
  6. Place in a bowl and serve.


Chlorella Pesto

chlorella pesto2 cups fresh basil

1 tbsp. of Morlife Certified Organic Chlorella Powder

4 cloves of garlic

¼ cup olive oil

½ cup parmesan cheese

¼ cup pine nuts

1 tbsp. lemon juice

  1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until combined.
  2. Serve mixed into freshly cooked pasta, or zucchini shredded like pasta.


Great Green Dip

½ cup mayonnaise

green goddess dip½ cup sour cream

2 cup baby spinach

1 ½ cup fresh herbs (basil, chives, parsley and mint), coarsely chopped

2 tsp. of Morlife Certified Organic Chlorella Powder

2 spring onions, chopped

1 tbsp. anchovy paste

1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice

  1. Combine all ingredients in food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and green in colour.
  3. Transfer to serving bowl and season to taste.


C&K Green Hummus

green hummus1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

2 cups thinly sliced kale

2-4 cloves chopped garlic

1/8 cup extra virgin olive oil

1/8 tahini

1/8 cup water

½ teaspoon salt

5 large basil leaves, thinly sliced

zest and juice of one lemon

2 tsp. Morlife Certified Organic Chlorella

  1. Lightly steam the kale until soft, but still green.  (It should shrink to about 1 cup).
  2. Place all ingredients in your food processor and blend.
  3. Place in a bowl and serve.
